Cook’n 11 Recipe Organizer Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

JUDY MITCHELL IS THE WINNER!!!!
I was lucky enough to be asked to give my honest opinions on Cook’n Recipe Organizer.Image

Now for those of you that don’t know every  detail about me (non stalkers lol) I have binders overflowing with recipes, some I use all the time and some I haven’t quite gotten around to testing out yet. So the idea of being recipe free was totally thrilling to me since currently I have no organization so I have to go through every recipe to find the ONE that I need, and for some reason that ONE recipe always ends up being way at the bottom of a pile 😦

Cook’n was created by DVO Enterprises founder Daniel V. Oaks Jr. Working out of a spare bedroom with one computer, little capital, and no connections Dan set out with the goal of creating quality software products to strengthen families. Cook’n has become the #1 bestselling recipe organizer with over 3 million copies sold!

I love how family centered DVO is, that being said I could go on and on but instead you can read all about their beliefs and history here: http://www.dvo.com/about.php

I’m not exactly super tech savvy or anything but downloading Cook’n was crazy easy which I LOVE!! It didn’t take forever it just took a couple minutes and then I started scanning my recipes in. Whats also nice is its pretty idiot proof because there are really awesome tutorials on Cook’n that show you how to do everything and they weren’t boring at all which is an accomplishment because most tutorials I cant even watch all the way through but i managed to watch them all!

This is an Overview of Cook’n 11: http://www.dvo.com/cookn-demonstration.php

Cook’n is the Only Recipe Software that lets you:
• Easily Enter your Personal Recipes
• Get Ideas for What to Make for Dinner
• See a Visual Menu Planner
• Auto-Generate Shopping Lists
• Capture Recipes From Favorite Websites
• Calculate Nutrition of Your Recipes
• Capture & Sync Pinterest Recipes
• Scan Printed Recipes
• Discover New Recipes w/Live Feed
• Print Themed Recipes – Demo
• Use Snip-It to Capture Blog Recipes
• Import recipes from Word – Demo
• Share Recipes with Social Media
• and much more!

Ok so now you know all about Cook’n and DVO I can let you guys know my thoughts and favorite features etc. First off I’m just going to be honest and say I have not found one thing to say as a con, and I have been trying to find one. The thing I like most about this software is how easily I can now locate my recipes! I really like that i can put all my pinterest recipes in Cook’n and I can download recipes from websites like the Food Network. It makes recipes so much more accessible to me and I’ve noticed that I’ve actually been cooking more and trying out more recipes then I normally would. My absolute favorite feature of cook’n is that it calculates the nutritional value of your meals which makes counting calories so much easier! Now most women are on or have been on a diet in there life and counting calories is harder when cooking from scratch which is of course the healthiest way to cook 🙂 I’m on weight watchers so for the longest time if I couldn’t figure out the calories fat and fiber in a meal then i wouldn’t eat it which made cooking boring!!! Who wants to cook the same things over and over :/ I have been having wayyy more fun in the kitchen and I highly recommend Cook’n I’ve already told so many people how awesome it is. And I’ve only had it for like 4 days!! If you like to cook then you will LOVE this!!!

I’ve Included the link to purchase Cook’n and there money back guarantee below:

This would be amazing to have! I have really started to learn how to cook and play more with recipes but I don’t have anywhere to keep things organized. Right now my recipes are written in random notebooks, on backs of envelopes stuffed in kitchen drawers, on scraps of paper, saved on my computer, etc. It would be so nice to have everything neatly organized in one place 🙂
